Sam is supervising Partner of the Mental Health Department and is a Law Society Mental Health Review Tribunal Panel Member. He is also a member of the Mental Health Lawyers Association and co-ordinates in-house training within the team.
Sam is an experienced Solicitor who represents clients at all levels from those sectioned in High Security hospitals in addition to those detained in Medium and Low security units. Sam also represents clients discharged to the community. Some of the cases he has been involved in are detailed here, including the case of R(B) v London Borough Camden & Others (2006) involving the right to aftercare
