MEDIA STATEMENT Christopher Tappin

Following the High Court’s refusal to certify a point of law of public importance in the case of Christopher Tappin we now propose to issue an Application for Rule 39 Relief to the European Court of Human Rights.

The Treasury Solicitors on behalf of the Secretary of State have undertaken not to commence extradition proceedings against Mr Tappin pending this application being made.
